The return of ESB France & more!

The return of ESB France & more!

Information

Before going international and being where we are today, ESB started in France. The French community has always been one of the most passionate and involved group of players in esports, and it’s part of what inspired us to make ESB.

We are therefore proud to announce that ESB France is officially back!

We would like to use this occasion to also introduce ESB Communities. This program will focus on building local and sustainable competitive environments and events for Battlefield V and the future.

Our goal is to make sure that all players and teams are catered for, from the bottom-up. Whether you are a professional team or playing your first scrim, we want to build an environment where you can easily grow within your own local community and respective level.

The ESB Communities program will be gradually launching around the world, with Europe and South America being our initial focus, and other countries/regions to follow in the near future.

ESB South America actually launched this past June as we hosted our South American Incursions Championship on Battlefield 1 PC, with great success and an even greater response from the community.

Each ESB Community will have a dedicated section in our discord server where players will be able to speak their local language and interact with others from the same area. Visit the #get-a-role channel in our discord server to find out how to gain access.

Road to BFV – Event Rule Changes

With the Road to BFV events starting this weekend, we have gone through and updated several key parts of the rules. To find out more about the Road to BFV event series, visit: https://esport-battlefield.com/road-to-bfv/.

The following rules have been updated for each event. All these changes are already live on the event pages.

PC 5v5 Cup https://battlefy.com/esb-international/road-to-bfv-pc-5v5-domination-cup/5b9d17314c91d403c58b343c/info?infoTab=details

Added:

  • Section 1.4.4: “This consists of playing 1 extra side of the same map with standard tickets.”

Removed:

  • Section 1.1 : “Rocket Launchers are now restricted to 1 maximum per team.”
    • This was an error added via copying ruleset structures.
  • Section 1.5 : “All players must be currently living in the region the tournament is happening, which effectively means that only players living in Europe and North America will be able to participate in this event. This effectively does mean that the event is region locked.”
    • The intention wasn’t to region lock this event, however we still wanted to make it playable for people outside the target regions. Any team can now sign up, however server restrictions still do apply. The cup willonly be using European and East US servers as section 1.3 states.

PC 10v10 Cup https://battlefy.com/esb-international/road-to-bfv-pc-10v10-conquest-small-cup/5ba2aaf36a418105d8ea3c00/info?infoTab=details

  • Section 1.1 Restrictions has been updated to reflect the Season 3 CSS Rules as opposed to the Season 1 rules previously indicated.
  • Section 1.2: Lancang Dam has been added to the Map Pool
  • Section 1.1: M-142 Artillery now allowed on Zavod 311
  • Section 1.1: Mobile Anti-Air (MAA) now allowed on Dawnbreaker.
    • This has been introduced to also deal with the Jet ban on the map.
  • Section 1.4.4: “This consists of playing 1 extra side of the same map with standard tickets.”

Removed:

  • Section 1.2: Rogue Transmission removed from Map Pool

Note: If teams with to mutually agree on using jets on any of the maps which have them banned, they are allowed to.

Battlefield 1 Incursions – The Winners!

Battlefield 1 Incursions – The Winners!

Battlefield 1 Incursions has been a wild ride that has finally come to an end, and with Battlefield V just around the corner we would like to celebrate and acknowledge the 3 main winners of our Incursions events before closing this competitive chapter indefinitely. Congratulations once again to all the winners and a big thank you to all the other teams that participated in our Incursions events.

ESB & G4G Incursions Championship – PS4 – ApeX E-Sports – 1000€

After qualifying as the 2nd seed , by playing in 4/5 of the qualifiers and accumulating 310 points, ApeX headed into the Championship Weekend as one of the favorites to win it all.

They started the championship weekend strong but fell in the winner’s bracket final to FAB Games, and where forced into the losers bracket. They then went on to defeat eXz and reconquered a spot in the Grand Final vs FAB Games, which had absolutely no answer against ApeX which went on to win 2 BO3 matches in a row vs them in order to be crowned Champions, in a comeback that will be remembered for the years to come!

ApeX E-Sports brought home 1000€ with this win!

ESB League Season 3 – PS4 – Strangers with Candy – 500€

After going 14-0 in Division 3 with a +138 points differential, and heading into playoffs as the 8th Seed, SwC showed their excellent preparation and consistency by beating their former team in the first round, and then handing out a clean 2-0 (12-3) to the favorites, ApeX, in the Grand Finals.

Despite playing the full Season in Division 3, SwC proved to all the Division 1 & 2 teams that they where in it to win it!

Strangers with Candy brought home 500€ with this win!

ESB South American Incursions Championship –  PC – TNTG

TNTG finished 3rd in the Qualification stage with 3 wins and 2 losses behind mentira (4-1) and ApeX (5-0). Despite not being favorites, TNTG showed the South American community that standings don’t mean a thing!

They went on to defeating mentira 2-0 in the Semi-Finals, and dominated ApeX in the finals with a clean 2-0 (5-1) win vs the favorites.

Despite there not being any prizes for this event, TNTG proved to everyone what they can do and will be heading into Battlefield V as the South American PC team to beat!

ESB Approved: POLSKA LIGA BATTLEFIELD

ESB Approved: POLSKA LIGA BATTLEFIELD

We are proud to officially welcome POLSKA LIGA BATTLEFIELD into the ESB Approved partner program. With Battlefield V just around the corner, and the Polish competitive community striving and getting ready for the next chapter in competitive Battlefield, we want to help promote their hard work in an effort to do bigger and better events together moving forward.

Want to visit their website and find out more? Visit:
http://ligabattlefield.com.pl/

Here we sit down with tadek202, the founder, in order to get to know him better.

How and when did you get into Battlefield eSports?

I always liked competitive gaming. For me it started in 2013 with Battlefield 4. I joined my first platoon and started to play and organize matches.

What made you start POLSKA LIGA BATTLEFIELD, and what are the biggest challenges you face in your community?

The Polish e-sport Battlefield scene was full of competitive matches, but we were missing a proper league. In 2017 me and a couple of “Battlefield friends” decided that we would like to build a professional league for Polish PS4 gamers. Shortly after that, gamers from Xbox and PC wanted to join as well. Within one year we became a professional organization with leagues and championships for all platforms.

What are your thoughts on Battlefield 1 Incursions?

The Incursions mode is very interesting. It’s perfect for a team play. We are very happy that it will be continued in Battlefield V.

What do you hope to see in Battlefield V, on the eSports side of things?

The most interesting for us are the Incursions and Domination modes. Those are the type of games our players love!

What does this partnership with ESB mean to your organization?

ESB is a prestigious organization. We believe that this partnership will bring a possibility to further develop both parties. It is also a chance for Polish teams to take part in international events.

Where can people follow your organization?

ESB South American Incursions Championship

ESB South American Incursions Championship

Information

Since Battlefield 3, the South American Battlefield community has been involved internationally in the top events around the world, and the community was better for it. Unfortunately with the latency restrictions implemented in Battlefield 1, this hasn’t been the case anymore, as the South American PS4 and PC communities have been forced to avoid any kind of international or intercontinental events due to connection issues.

This doesn’t mean that these communities haven’t been doing a great job of auto-sustaining and growing their own competitive scene with various community organizers putting in a lot of effort to keep it all alive. However, the South American community hasn’t gotten the respect and visibility it deserves and used to have, and that’s why we are proud to announce that ESB is now officially coming to Brazil and the rest of South America.

We want to help grow and promote the South American Battlefield community and give it international visibility. To kick things off, as we head towards Battlefield V, we will be hosting the ESB South American Incursions Championship, in which the best South American PC teams will play their hearts out to determine who the best Incursions team is ahead of the next Battlefield.

The ESB South American Incursions Championship will be a 16 team event that lasts 4 weeks, featuring both Group Stages and Playoffs for the top 8 teams. The whole event will run via Battlefy and you will find all the information needed to sign-up in this article.

Sign-ups are now open, and close on Friday morning at 9:00am BRT (Brasilia Time)

To sign-up for the event, please visit:

ESB ALLSTARS 2018

ESB ALLSTARS 2018

On Sunday July 1st at 3pm EDT/ 21h CEST, some of the best Incursions Players on PS4 will have a chance to showcase their individual talents in front of the whole community. Four teams of 5 players each will fight for ultimate bragging rights in a Best of 1 Swiss Style Bracket.

HOW IT WORKS:

Voting opens today, Sunday June 24th, and will run until Thursday June 28th (5 days). 94 Players from Battlefield 1 Season 3 have been made eligible to participate in the ALLSTARS event (you will find eligibility criteria below). The 4 infantry players with the most votes once voting ends on Thursday will be named team captains of one of the 4 teams.

On Friday June 29th at 4pm EDT / 22h CEST those 4 Players will be participating in a LIVE draft on twitch.tv/ESBInternationalTV . Each player will take turns drafting players for their team from the 4 most voted tankers and 16 most voted infantry players. There is only one catch, each team can only have 2 Players maximum from the same Team (eXz, ApeX, VrtX, etc). This means that team captains will have to plan their team carefully in order to achieve victory.

To be considered eligible to participate, players must meet the following criteria:

  • The player must be a member of a team still competing in ESB League Season 3 in either Division 1 or 2.
  • The Player must have played at least 1 match for his/her team

On our league website, you will find a table with the current Season 3 league statistics for each player, and the voting Polls.
https://esportbf.com/allstars

Best of luck to everyone participating!
