Despite Battlefield 2042’s disappointing launch, over 120 teams have competed in at least 1 of our recent 2042 4v4 Rush Test Events over the past couple of months. It has been incredible to see how passionate the competitive Battlefield community remains despite the lack of support and appropriate tools year after year.
While many players and teams have decided to move on (even if temporarily) while the game receives the fixes it needs, we want to ensure that the testing period we just had doesn’t go to waste. We have received great feedback throughout Test Cups 1 to 3, with different rulesets showcasing different possibilities in gameplay. It is now time to discuss and (finally) vote on what you would like to see in the final ruleset used for our upcoming 2042 4v4 Rush events.
Towards the end of the council, we will also discuss what our plans are until the summer and ask teams what they would like to see from us until then.
What is the Council?
The ESB Council is a periodical group voice meeting with team leaders to discuss and vote on significant changes to our rulesets. We will introduce various essential topics throughout the meeting and ensure they are appropriately discussed and constructively with everyone involved. We want teams to make informed decisions when voting on rules that affect many players.
Once all the topics have been discussed, all team leaders will be required to fill out a questionnaire to cast their final votes. Team leaders will be required to submit the form before the meeting ends.
Results will be announced on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022, as we collect all the data and update the ruleset accordingly.
When is the Council?
The meeting will occur on Sunday, February 27th, 2022, at 3:00 pm EST / 9:00 pm CET and will last approximately 2 hours. Below is a countdown leading to the meeting start.

How do you sign-up?
All eligible teams will have 1-2 of their representatives gain access to the ESB Council area of the EsportBF Discord. In this area, leaders will be able to sign-up by reacting to a post in the #council-announcements channel or request that another representative is given access instead through #council-replacements.
