ESB League – Welcome to 2042 Season 1

Information

After hosting so many other 2042 events since the last ESB League season in Battlefield V, ESB League finally arrives to Battlefield 2042!

This first 2042 season kicks off with a restricted format compared to previous seasons. We are looking for 12 dedicated teams across Europe and North America: 6 on PC and 6 on PS5/XSX. However, even just 6 teams on either platform will make this work.

We aim to showcase top teams and players and what top competitive gameplay can look like. Detailed player stats are returning, with weekly livestreams and social promotion for everyone involved. Hopefully, this acts as a solid foundation to promote the 2042 competitive scene before kicking off bigger events in the fall.

Unlike previous seasons, there will be no qualifiers to secure a spot. Teams can sign up, and our staff will handpick the teams based on various factors. So please make sure you take the time to fill out the application form with all the requested information. While we understand this may lead to a few disappointed teams, participants must be carefully selected to avoid any dropouts throughout the season for this format and relaunch to work.

Visit the “League Schedule” tab, read the event format and schedule, and the “Sign-ups” tab to sign up! The FAQ section already has answers to many of your questions.

Games Modes:

5v5 ESB Flashpoint and 5v5 ESB Squad Obliteration will both be played in Season 1. Teams will have to use one squad of 3 and one of 2, with our spectators hopping between squads when we cast your matches.

Regions:

For Season 1, only players from Europe and North America will be able to play. While we understand that players from other parts of the world may be interested in participating, it won’t be possible during this season.

League Schedule

Important Notes:

  • This event is a Double Round-Robin, meaning that each team plays against each other twice.
    • Once the regular season ends, the top 4 teams will play in a Single-Elimination bracket to crown the champion.
  • This 5v5 event features 2 Matches a Week for each team.
  • While the schedule below highlights the standard match days for each week, teams can still play the games on other days/times as long as each match is played in its respective week.
    • For 5v5s, the first match of the week must be played from Monday to Thursday, while the second match must be played from Friday to Sunday.
  • This season’s focus is Europe and North America. Players outside of these regions will not be able to participate in Season 1.
